Located in the Tjuvholmen Icon Complex, the museum is beautifully set next to the gorgeous waterfront of a fjord. There is a park outside the premises, designed with small bridges and canals overlooking the harbour quay. The spectacular views from the museum and the fantastic art inside have made it one of the most visited attractions in Oslo today.
Inside the museum, there are two buildings separated by a small bridge. Rotating exhibitions occur in the main pavilion, while selected art pieces from the Astrup Fearnley Collection are displayed in the second building. Apart from the art exhibits, the premises also houses a small shop and the restaurant VentiVenti.
