Located in Sagene district, the museum is set at a location where you can see how the workers’ lived amidst twirling roads and an old factory building. Several labourers dwelled in this part of the city, which still has remnants of the olden industrial days in Oslo. A tour inside the museum will take you back to the time when Oslo was flourishing with industries.
The museum opened in 2013 with the intention to spread awareness of Norway’s industrial development during the 1840s. There are English versions of audio guides available inside the museum. Adding this attraction to your Oslo itinerary will also give you a good sightseeing experience of the adjacent Akerselva river. Get free entry into the museum if you have an Oslo card.
