Kunstnerforbundet

Kunstnerforbundet is the hub of contemporary art in Oslo and the oldest private-owned gallery in Norway. Visitors are welcome here on all days, except Mondays, to view the changing exhibitions conducted here regularly.
From the outside, the building looks spectacular with comtemporary art designed on its exteriros. Inside the gallery, there are several rooms in the 2-storey building dedicated for different kind of artworks. You can also purchase artwork in the form of prints, sculptures, and crafts from the sales department of the gallery. This gallery is the combined effort of many Norwegian artists who came together and founded it in 1910. Today, almost 150 contemporary art experts are shareowners of the gallery. Kunstnerforbundet is used as a venue for seminars, art projects, tours, and artist talks. The building is a 4-minute walk from Nationaltheatret and a 5-minute walk from Stortinget.
